Romania it is not just an ex-communist country as it is known by the majority. It is a very beautiful one with large plains, spectacular mountains and rivers which bathe all the land-forms, and all of these unfolding under a clear blue sky. The place I feel most connected to, my hometown, is the place of my childhood. My work, a system of curved and counter-curved lines, pastel colors and colored grays, is meant to offer to the viewer a chromatic experience of the land who has given me the most pure laugh, joyful moments and unconditional love through the presence of my parents, from my entire life. Also, my place is the mark left, being a child, in every place I passed, on the hills where I used to go with my grandparents to the vineyards, on the trees where I climbed, or even on the animals I played with. The place carries the mark, the energy and a piece of the soul of each one of us and this it is exactly what I tried to reproduce in my work.
